Wednesday:Easy Town Run: 6.04 miles and 469 feet of Vert
Freezing cold with a headwind. My eye-lashes were frozen together and I could barely move my hands when I got home. Too cold to say how this felt other than this was just hard because I was frozen.

Thursday: Birthday Miles with Twig: 5.39 miles and 1,588 feet of Vert
On my FAVORITE trail the foothills! Snowy and beautiful. Perfect day minus getting into a short altercation of sorts with a stranger/man who stopped me and I don’t want to talk about the details on this blog.

Friday: Easy Run with Margaret: 4.4 miles 335 feet of Vert
Pete’s Hill and Gallagator Loop, I felt great! The start of a busy day.

Saturday: RUFA 12 Hours: 42.5 miles and 12,000 feet of Vert
Will write a detailed race report later. Long story short here, I did the whole day with Cat until the last three laps. We kept it super chill hiking all the ups and jogging the downs and taking our time at the aid station. The morning was VERY cold but it warmed up. I felt really good at the 10 hour mark so I decided to let it rip here and try and get three more laps in before time was up. My last three laps ended up being my fastest of the whole day which I am very proud of. A very big confidence boost I needed with 16 weeks left until SMUT 100.

Sunday: Recovery Walk with Twig and Cat
My legs are super fatigued

Weekly Reflection
I wasn’t planning on tapering this much to go into RUFA but it ended up working out. I have been dealing with a lot of stress from work hence the mental health day on Tuesday. I am working on getting some things swapped around at work so I will have less stress both while I am there and once I am home. I ended up hiring a coach this week for many reasons but mostly that I want to take something off my plate and I found it to be extremely valuable in the past. I would rather think about other people’s running and becoming a better coach right now rather than think about my own things. I know how to make a program and what works for me but subjectively thinking about it too much is wasting too much of my limited time and energy. I am so excited to put this in someone else’s hands right now and I am really stoked about the person I have trusted to do so. I will still be writing these training logs. As for RUFA I am extremely proud and happy of my performance. I plan on writing a completely separate blog post that is a race report of the day but give it a few more days before it is published. The race left my legs feeling pretty fatigued and to play it smart my coach and I talked about the next week being prioritized on recovery. Yay! Three more weeks until Run to the Pub Half Marathon.
